The Biomass planning application has been delayed for at least a further six months.
What that means for the long term is anyone’s guess, but we should certainly not drop our guard.
It’s not clear how the change in ownership will affect the plan as a whole. The new company could even take an entirely new direction, which could affect future planning decisions.
I’m not privy to how the new ownership will affect the plans, which we’ve all been part of for many years, but I do know that we need to ensure that the community in Leith is allowed to thrive and grow. I look forward, with other interested parties, to meeting and discussing the way ahead.
